Abstract

The flavone of formula is useful for treating vascular disorders, and is prepd. by heating 5,7-dihydroxyflavone with ethyl bromoacetate. Capsules contg. 100 mg. of the flavone are specifically claimed; the dosage is 2-8 capsules/day. In an example, vitamin P-starved guinea-pigs were entirely freed of all symptoms by this substance, which also showed very low toxicity in several species.
