Abstract

The identical chain links have an arcuate body portion provided with parallel extensions at one end by which they are pivotally connected to adjacent links, the body portions having rows of apertures in which studes can be removably located. In operation these studs engage and pivot levers for controlling the operation of the machine, and the programme executed by the machine can be changed by varying the positions of the studs on the links. The necessity of changing the chain links to vary the programme is eliminated.
