Abstract

An X-ray photographic product comprises a reinforced fluorescent screen in association with a support which carries photosensitive silver halides. The screen contains a fluorescent substance with a UV spectral emission of 410 nm. pref. 385 nm. The silver halide are of the type which enable a negative image to be obtained in situ which provides a cover of >50 the amount of halides initially present contg. at least 0.08g silver/dm2 esp. 0.04g/dm2. Each layer of Ag halide also contains a substance which can absorb UV rays. The product is used for X-ray photography in conjunction with an automatic apparatus. refers to the value obtained by dividing the no. of grams of silver/dm2 of the image surface by the optical density of the image .
