Abstract
The bath comprises ca 2-82 g/l gold as an alkali gold sulphite, alkaline sulphite between 0 g/l to saturation point, additional alkali metal salts between 0 g/l to saturation point, a chelating agent ammounting to 0-200 g/l, and ca 0-50 g/l of a soluble metal compound. Also present are ca 0.5-1500 mg/l of an As compound, and/or 5-400 mg/l of soluble Sb compounds, and/or ca 1-400 mg/l of soluble Se compounds, and sufficient acid or lead to bring the pH to 8 or more.
