Abstract

Metal coated mirror It has a thin film of zinc sulphide between an underlayer and a reflective thin metal film of vacuum-deposited precious metal. Pref. the underlayer is glass, and the precious metal is silver or gold. Mirror is useful for optical instruments and appliances and avoids the disadvantages presented by mirrors employing only thin films of precious metals such as gold and silver.
