Abstract

The hop-waste is dried and ground to a fine powder or flour and pref. mixed with resinous (hop) extract, tannin extract, and compound extract in the presence of a drying agent to obtain free-flowing granules for adding to the mash-tun. The powder helps form a stable yeast-cone in the vortex of the stirrer.
