Abstract

The two-media dyeing process for cellulose fibre fabrics includes squeegee rollers between the first vat and the second liquor coating unit. The second medium is coated immediately after forceful pressing of the fabric and when the latter is still wet. The second coating is made in the form of a film and stepless control is provided for exact metering of the liquor. The formation of uniform thickness layer of film is ensured by a doctor blade set at an angle with respect to the roller axis and covering the whole width of the roller.
