Abstract

Wrist watch case construction. The glass of the case is made in a mineral glass and a groove is formed around the edge of this glass. Into this groove fits a ring of resilient material such as nylon, and the lower edge of the ring projects downwards, lower than the glass, and is clamped in place in the casing by a tension ring. This produces a waterproof sealed case in which the sealed condition is reestablished without difficulty when the glass is removed and replaced.
