Abstract

The watch has a mounting ring (1) with which a gasket (2) of a semit-rigid plastic material e.g. PVC is associated, the inner periphery of the gasket (3) locating the watch glass (4). The gasket (2) also has an axial passage (5) through which the winding or setting stem passes, with the passage extended outwards. The lower inner periphery of the gasket (2) is threaded (6) to engage the threads (7) of the watch back (8). The mounting ring (1) has a notch (11) into which a corresponding projection (11a) of the gasket (2) fits to retain the two together. A further element (13) between watch glass (4) and gasket (2) hides the latter and retains the watch face (9a).
