Abstract
Transmission of data from the bottom of a borehole is effected by (a) measurement (b), converting electrical signal, (c) converting the measurement into numerical signals, and (d) transmitting the signal through a data medium. During the duration of the appearance of each numerical signal, a wave generator is started whose frequency varies linearly with the time, mechanical or electrical energy is modulated by these waves, this energy is transmitted by transmission medium, the modulated energy is detected at the surface, and the amplitude energy is anti-correlated to provide a series of signals representing the measurement taken at the borehole bottom in numerical form. The method provides a series of signals at the surface representing the measurements taken at the bottom of the borehole.
