Abstract

Aluminium (alloy) is coated or soft soldered by bringing the surface in contact with a material containing metal-atoms and/or -ions, the melting point of which is below 100 degrees C and which, in contact with the air, is virtually chemically stable for a short time and which wets the material to be coated. Pref. the material contains Li, Be, Mg, Ca, Al and/or Zr.
