Abstract

Antibacterial medicament esp. useful for treatment of bacterial infections of the intestine and urinary tract is based ona mixture of an antibiotic and nalidixic acid, the antibiotic in the active ingredient being a neomycin or salt. pref. sulphate, thereof. Pref. wt. ratio of neomycin sulphate to nalidixic acid if 1/2. Pref. the active ingredient is used with a pharmaceutically acceptable vehicle in a form suitable for oral administration, specif. as capsules or a drinkable suspension.
