Abstract
Low carbon steel or iron powder produced by lowering the carbon content of the iron powder by reduction with carbon monoxide, hydrogen or ammonia is made from waste left from machining steel, which is cleaned and reduced at a temp. 1000 degrees C, specif. in a rotating furnace.
