Abstract

Threads are corrosion-resistant steel. Warp is austenitic stainless steel, cold-drawn and annealed to 9100-11900 kg/cm2 tensile, break elongation 30-50%, and high fatigue resistance. Weft transverse section is circular; that of warp has opposite flattened faces in plane of fabric before annealing, such that major/minor axis = 1.3-1.6. Warp cross-section area is that of west but > that of circular wire which is woven with weft to give filling factor of weft equal to that of phosphor bronze fabric for same use.
