Abstract
The polymers are formed by prepolymerisation-polymerisation-grafting en masse in two steps of soln. in a vinyl chloride based compsn. of vinyl acetate-ethylene copolymers after adding an organic peroxide not decomposing below 120 degrees C and having an activation temp. up to 180 degrees C as free radical initiator. The polymers are then crosslinked at >170 degrees C pref. 180-200 degrees C and pref. in the presence of at least one cpd. contng. 3 or 4 non-conjugated C=C bonds, esp. di, tri, and tetraallyl cpds. e.g. triallyl phosphate, tetraallyl silicate, and triallyl cyanurate.
