Abstract

Device gives high yield of pieces by shock-effect means in a closed pressure chamber which also contains the workpiece and a pressure-transmitting liquid and is formed of at least 2 elements of which one is movable relative to the other by the shaping pressure against the inertial forces, when the pressure chamber opens and the pressure point is reduced. To keep the chamber closed until the shaping pressure is reached, the inertial forces of the movable elements are mainly used, choosing their masses correspondingly. The separated masses are connected together by force accumulators so as to form a movable assembly which completely absorbs the energy produced within the assembly and which exceeds the shaping energy.
