Abstract

Reversing system for the axial motion of the base of a sliding centrifuge. N--. In which the base is moved hydraulically via a four-way valve controlling the flow of the hydraulic fluid in and out, on one or the other side of the piston of the hydraulic actuator. The four-way valve is electro-magnetically operated and has magnet coils connected to pulse emitters, if necessary, via an amplifier, which are situated in the stroke path of a stroke indicator coupled to the centrifuge slide device and reciprocating therewith. More especially and for larger centrifuges, a hydraulically operated four-way valve is connected upstream of the magnetically operated valve and acts as a pre-control valve, both valves being connected to the same source of pressurised hydraulic fluid.
