Abstract

Press moulded light weight concrete sections.. GF-. Are moulded in a rigid mould with perforated base and an auxiliary perforated base plate to smoothen the concrete mix after its casting into the mould, and a rigid or semi-rigid perforated cover plate laid over the cast mix. The filled mould is then passed to a suitable press in which a pressure not exceeding 35.15 kp/cm2 is exerted to both top and bottom plates, which is sufficient to press out enough water to allow immediate extraction of the component from the mould.
