Abstract

Applies to arrangements in which cooling is produced by expanding a working liquid in a duct, constituted by a gas under pressure and which, prior to expansion, is at a lower temp. than its inversion temp. in order to ensure a reserve of liquefied working fluid in the reservoir. The equipment includes an arrangement which controls the gas discharged by the duct and a sensor located in the container, at a lower level than the aperture of the duct and consisting of a vapour bulb connected to a dilating component, one end of which is mobile and in turn connected to a closing mechanism capable of varying the effective section of the aperture passage. The sensor includes an extension which runs down to a level lower than the vapour chamber of the bulbs so that the extension is progressively cooled by the liquefied working fluid when the latter rises toward the mentioned level and so reduces the discharge of gas from the duct.
