Abstract
Finishing composition consists of an aqueous emulsion contg. (I) 30-80% wt. lubricating oil, (II) 10-50%wt. alkanolamine salt of a satd. C12-20 fatty acid, and (III) 15-55%wt. of an ester or amide of a satd. C16-20 fatty acid. The compm. is used for the treatment o shaped articles, especially filaments, yarns or films produced from polyester, or polyether-urethane elastomers. The finishing compm. is especially useful for reducing the tackiness of the surface of the elastomer yarns. The treated yarns are much easier to handle, and the finishing compn. is easy to remove.
