Abstract
The fruits are placed on receivers and are brought to the cutting blade by a circulating movement in a horizontal plane. In removing the ends or the points of the fruits the blades are prepd. for subsequent peeling and removal of the core, contg. the pips, in a continuous manner by automatic or semi-automatic machines. The blades on their receivers slide horizontally so that their points come into the slider with its U-shaped profile, which is arranged obliquely, and meet the cutter; the end of the fruit comes into contact with the blade and is cut off. The fruit, with its point removed, leaves the lower end of the slider and the cutting device falls back, by its own wt., to the starting posn. The process is repeated with the following fruit as it comes into the slider of the cutting device.
