Abstract
Plant esp. for cupolas, comprises (a) a primary separator having a central axial feed pipe for the residual gases widening conically towards its outlet, and having a purified gas collecting chamber mounted on its top, (b) a secondary separator surrounding the primary separator, consisting of a series of cyclones connected in parallel and distributed around the latter, and with their central dip pipes opening at their top ends into the pure gas collecting chamber, these cyclones being fixed at their top and bottom by radial walls to (c) an external envelope surrounding the secondary separating system, extended upwards to form the outer wall of the annular pure gas collector chamber with its tangential pure gas outlet and extended downwards to form a conical hopper bottom for the collection of fine dust, concentric to and surrounding the conical hopper bottom for the collection of the coarse dust deposited in the primary separator, (d) guide vanes in the central feed pipe to vortex the dust-laden feed gas.
