The invention relates to a part which protects the fastening flange of a floor drain body, which is used in particular as a casting protection.

Floor well mounting flanges are flanges projecting from the well body at the top of the well and are used to attach the well to structures further by attaching additional inserts to be placed in the well, such as riser rings. This is known, for example, from the Finnish publication 88191. Especially in connection with concrete casting, a concrete layer comes on top of the fastening flange if the upper surface of the flange is not protected in any way. If the well is at the correct height during casting and the casting is the final surface casting, there is no disadvantage of covering the flange and the well is fixed by casting. However, if the final surface of the floor rises above the well body and a riser ring is used, the top surface of the mounting flange should be free of concrete to allow the mounting screws of the riser ring to be screwed into the well flange. If the flange is not protected during casting, I will have to mock the concrete off the top of the flange.

The object of the invention is to provide a solution to this problem, and the invention is characterized by what is stated in the appended claims.

The casting shield according to the invention protects the fixing flange of the well during casting and ensures easy installation of the fixing screws later. As a plastic part, the casting cover can also be removed after casting if necessary. The casting guard may also be fitted with a manhole cover plate, which • can be removed when the well is commissioned or when the extension ring is installed. In a preferred embodiment of the casting cover, the positions of the fastening screws are retained and are also marked on the casting cover.

In Figure 1, a floor well 1 is mounted partly on the sand 4 and partly on the casting 3. A casting cover 2 is placed on the fixing flange 10 belonging to the well body. It is a ring whose upper surface extends flush with the well body. The tire has an outer circumference and an inner circumference and the space between them is open. The casting guard prevents the concrete mass from spreading on the flange 10. The fastening ring fastening screws are guided through the casting cover to the pipes 5 reserved for them.

Fig. 2 shows a casting guard 2 showing its fastening members 6 by means of which it is fixed to the holes of the flange 10 by pressing the casting guard against the flange. The hole division in the flange 10 must correspond to the division of the members 6. The fastening member 6 is a type of holder which fastens to the hole and is known per se. From the upper edge of the annular outer circumference 11 there is an inwardly directed upper surface 12. This is the minimum structure of the casting protection in the sense of protection. The casting shield of Figure 2 further has an inner circumference, leaving a free space between the inner and outer circumferences 11.

Dashed lines show a lid 13 connected to the casting cover, which in one embodiment belongs to the structure. The lid 13 is attached to the ring 2 by a thin bandage at its edges, so that it can be easily knocked out or torn off. The deck serves as a well opening cover during construction.

Figure 3 is a bottom view of the casting protection, with the fastening members 6 being visible.

Figure 4 is a top view of the floor drain and its mounting flange 10 includes a plurality of holes. The holes 8 are for the fixing screws of the lifting ring. The holes 7 are for the fastening members 6 of the casting cover. The holes 9 are for attaching the riser ring for special cases. The holes have their own specific division.

Figure 5 is a top view of the casting shield and a section of it 95953 from line A-A. The hole spacing is the same as in the well flange 10 for holes 8 and 9. The holes in this example are not completely open, but as the sectional view shows, there is a thin base at the bottom of the hole 8 ', 9'. The heel is punctured if necessary. The tip of the screw also makes its puncture.

There are many solutions for attaching the casting guard. The invention may be modified within the scope of the inventive idea defined by the claims. 1 ·

Claims (5)

A casting guard to be mounted on a fastening flange (10) at the top of a floor drain (1), characterized in that the casting guard is a detachable part (2) with a cylindrical outer circumference (11) and an upper surface (12) inwardly from the upper edge of the circumference extends substantially to the height of the body of the well (1).
