Abstract

The invention concerns a flowmeter for media comprising a measurement channel 3 to which an inlet point 6 and an outlet point 7 are connected to guide the measured medium through a measurement channel 3 and an axially moveable device 4 in the measurement channel, which together with part of the wall of the measurement channel is arranged to form a flow channel essentially parallel to the measurement channel for the measured medium. The size in the flow opening of the flow channel is dependent on the position of axially moveable device 4 in measurement channel 3. To improve readability of the meter at least one part of the wall of the measurement channel is made nonlinear in the axial direction so that movement of the axially moveable device 4 in the axial direction of the flow channel creates a change in flow opening of different size at different points of flow channel 3. <IMAGE>
