Abstract

The invention relates to a new method for production of compounds with the general formula I, <IMAGE> (in which R stands for a piperazinyl, 4-methyl- piperazinyl or 4-ethylpiperazinyl group) and of pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof, with the method being characterized in that a compound with the general formula II, <IMAGE> (in which R1 and R2 stand for halogen, an aliphatic acyloxy group with 2-6 carbon atoms, possibly substituted with halogen, or for an aromatic acyloxy group with 7-11 carbon atoms) is converted with a piperazine derivative with the general formula III, <IMAGE> (in which R3 stands for hydrogen, methyl or ethyl), or with a salt thereof, and the compound so obtained with the general formula IV, <IMAGE> (in which R, R1 and R2 have the meanings stated above) is then subjected to hydrolysis, after or without isolation, and the compound so obtained is then, if desirable, converted to a salt thereof or liberated from its salt. The compounds with the general formula I are known antibacterial agents. The advantage of the present invention is that it makes the desired compounds with formula I available in a simple manner and with a high yield and with a short reaction time.
