Abstract

According to the process used in particular for removing scale and corrosion, and to prevent the formation of scale and corrosion in vessels and pipelines through which the liquid to be handled passes, the liquid is fed during treatment, through a treatment chamber (1), on the side of which is arranged an electrode (4), which is electrically insulated from the liquid. A high-voltage source (8) is connected via a high-voltage terminal (7) with the electrode (4) and the other terminal (10) is connected electrically with the liquid.
