Abstract
The digital receiver 100 forms a digital radio frequency receiver which processes a received analogue signal which is converted to digital form in accordance with prior selection at the output from the aerial. The digital receiver 100 according to this invention comprises a preselector 106, a high-speed analogue/digital converter 108, a digital selective intermediate frequency section 110 which has an output signal essentially at baseband frequencies, and a digital signal processing circuit 120 which carries out demodulation and audio filtering. The radio architecture of this invention can be programmed for application for practically all known modulation schemes and is particularly suitable for equipment with integrated circuits.
