Abstract
The invention relates to a process and a device for aerating sewage or similar media in an aerating pool using an aerating surface 2/4 which is arranged below the surface of the water. The device according to the invention consists of a rigid, self-supporting bearing surface 2 which is either porous or provided with holes, which is tensioned by means of an elastic membrane 4 and from whose centre of gravity 10, or line 11 which goes through the centre of gravity, the air supply 1 is directed towards at least one deflection region 3, and the air is transferred towards the periphery 12, which is somewhat raised in relation to the deflection region, and then, with decreasing air pressure, to the water which is to be aerated. The aerating surface can be pivotably arranged, and the cross section of the bearing surface can have the form of a pyramid, a wedge, a circle or a truncated cone, or can even be arched in a concave/convex manner.
