Claims (7)

1. Förfarande för framställning av titandioxid ge-nom autotermisk behandling av titanhaltiga rämaterial med 5 svavelsyra sk, att en fast, relativt lättlöslig reaktions-kaka, lösning av metallsulfaterna ur denna kaka med vatten eller utspädd svavelsyra, separering av den olösta äter-stoden, och eventuellt efter kristallisation av järnsul-fatheptahydratet, hydrolys av titanylsulfatet och kalcine- 10 ring av titanoxidhydratet tili titandioxid, känne- t e c k n a t därav, att reaktionsblandingen i början av behandlingsreaktionen innehäller 80-88 %:ig svavelsyra och metallsulfater.
2. Förfarande enligt patentkravet 1, känne- 15 tecknat därav, att mängden metallsulfater är före reaktionens början 0,5-25 %, företrädesvis 2-15 % metallsulfater .
3. Förfarande enligt patentkravet 1, känne-tecknat därav, att en del av svavelsyran utgörs av 20 20-75 %:ig svavelsyra, som innehäller TiC^-tunnsyra eller indunstad TiC^-tunnsyra och att den innehäller upplösta metallsulfater.
4. Förfarande enligt patentkravet 3, känne-tecknat därav, att ätminstone en del av den 25 20-75 %:iga svavelsyran och metallsulfaterna användes i form av den vid TK^-tunnsyraindunstningen bildade metallsulf at-svavelsyrasuspensionen.
5. Förfarande enligt ett eller flere av föregäende patentkrav, kännetecknat därav, att den 30 20-75 %:iga svavelsyran innehäller metallsulfater i löst eller fast form.
6. Förfarande enligt ett eller flere av föregäende patentkrav, kännetecknat därav, att som metallsulfater används den vid filtrering av indunstad Ti02~tunn- 35 syra bildade filterkakan.
