The invention relates to a fastening device for fastening a loader and a woodworking unit to the lifting devices of an agricultural tractor, the fastening device comprising a fastening part of the loader provided with fastening means for fastening to the lifting devices.

In timber harvesting, it is advantageous that the same equipment can be used both in the timber production phase (felling, pruning, felling) and in the driving phase (loading, driving). This is especially true in small stands and when aiming for a one-man work chain, for example in the owner's self-sufficient logging. This avoids unnecessary relocation of equipment and facilitates the organization of timber harvesting.

In known combinations of loader and wood handling unit, the handling unit (pruner, breaker) is located at the end of the boom instead of the grapple. In this case, however, the weight of the handling unit and the forces generated by the wood handling strain the loader.

To overcome this drawback, the fastening device according to the invention is arranged in such a way that the loader mounting part is associated with a cantilever beam which, when the loader is attached to the tractor, points away from the tractor and that the wood handling unit is pivotally attached to the cantilever beam.

In the structure according to the invention, a loader of a type known per se is attached to the conventional 3-point lifting devices of an agricultural tractor or by means of a fitting attached to the frame of the machine. The wood handling unit (pruner, breaker, etc.) is attached to the loader's mounting part with a quick-release attachment so that the operating range of the loader allows the loader to be used to feed trees to the treatment unit.

In the solution according to the invention, the weight of the handling unit and the wood to be treated acts close to the working machine and the handling forces do not load the loader boom. In addition, a loader with a larger reach can be used to speed up the work. At the same time, the loader can be used freely to handle the next tree.

In the following, the invention will be explained in detail with reference to the accompanying drawing, in which the figure schematically shows a combination of a loader and a wood processing unit according to the invention attached to the rear of an agricultural tractor.

In the accompanying figure, the loader part of the combination of the loader and the woodworking unit attached to the rear of the agricultural tractor is generally indicated by reference numeral 1 and the woodworking unit by general reference numeral 2.

The loader 1 is attached to the rear of the tractor 3 to its conventional 3-point lifting devices 4. An adapter attached to the body of the tractor can also be used. The fastening methods are fully known per se in the art, so it is not necessary to describe them in detail in this context.

A cantilever beam 7 is removably attached to the fastening part 5 of the loader 1 in a manner known per se, e.g. with suitable quick-release fasteners 6. The wood processing unit 2 is pivotally attached to the free end of the cantilever beam 7 by means of a support arm 8.

The wood processing unit 2 resting on the support arm 8 can either turn freely about the vertical axis at the end of the cantilever beam 7, indicated by reference number 9, or it can be turned hydraulically to the desired position and locked there by hydraulic means (not shown) known per se.

The wood processing unit 2 has a frame indicated by reference numeral 10, to which the pruning pruning blades 11 on both sides of the tree, which surround the wood, are adjustably attached. In addition, two traction wheels 12 are likewise adjustably attached to the frame 10, which press the tree frame the blades 11 cut off the branches in the tree. Finally, the cutting unit 13 cuts the wood into supports of the desired length.

During use, the wood processing unit 2 is preferably turned about 90 ° from the position shown in the figure, the traction line defined by the pruning and traction devices 11, 12 being transverse to the longitudinal direction of the tractor 3. In this case, the logs obtained from the wood to be lifted into the wood processing unit 2 by the grapple 14 of the loader 1 after pruning with the pruning blade 11 and cutting by the cutting unit 13 suitably fall aside from the tramline.
