Claims (7)

1. Förfarande för kontinuerlig produktion av etanol genom tillsats av substrat och avlägsning av etanol under fermen-tationens förlopp, där ett vattenhaltigt näringsmedium med ett substrat, som är stärkelse, pektin, pyruvat, monosackarid eller disackarid, i anaeroba och termofila förhällanden ut-sätts för mikroorganismen Thermoanaerobacter ethanolicus, kännetecknat av att substrathalten överstiger 1 % (vikt/volym) och det substrathaltiga näringsmediet utsätts för fermentationsverkan genom mikroorganismens Thermoanaerobacter ethanolicus stam J 200 L-Large, ATCC 31936, mikroorganismens Thermoanaerobacter ethanolicus stam J W 200 Fe(3), ATCC 31937, eller mikroorganismens Thermoanaerobacter ethanolicus stam J W 200 L - Fe(7), ATCC 31938.
2. Förfarande enligt patentkravet 1, kännetecknat av att etanol produceras vid en hait, som överstiger 1,5 % (vikt/volym) etanol i fermentationsmediet.
3. Förfarande enligt patentkravet 2, kännetecknat av att etanol produceras vid en hait, som är t.o.m. 10 % (volym/volym) etanol i fermentationsmediet.
4. Förfarande enligt patentkravet 3, kännetecknat av att fermentationen utförs inom temperaturomrädet ca 40-78°C.
