Claims (5)

1. Förfarande för kodning av ett inmatningsdatablock (IDB) med en blockkodare (TE), som kan behandla konsekutiva kodningsblock (CB), vars storlek har en övre gräns (LCB), som är mindre än inmatningsdatablockets 5 (IDB) storlek, kännetecknat avattförfarandetutförföljandesteg: - bestämmer inmatningsdatablockets (IDB) längd innan nägot av dess data kodas med blockkodaren (TE), - indelar inmatningsdatablocket (IDB) i flera segment (S, ... SN), vil- 10 ka alla är väsentligen lika länga sä att inget av segmenten överskrider den övre gränsen (LCB), och - behandlar varje segment (S,... SN) med blockkodaren (TE).
2. Förfarande enligt patentkrav 1, kännetecknat av att ifall det sista segmentet (SN) är kortare än de andra segmenten (S1f S2...) tilläggs 15 fyllnadsbitar (NFILL) i det sista segmentet sä att segmentet blir lika längt som de andra segmenten (S1f S2...).
3. Förfarande enligt patentkrav 1, kännetecknat av att ifall inmatningsdatablockets (IDB) längd inte är en exakt mängfald av nämnda övre gräns (LCB), tilläggs fyllnadsbitar (NF,LL) i inmatningsdatablocket sä att dess 20 längd utgör en exakt mängfald av den övre gränsen (LCB).
4. Förfarande enligt nägot av de föregäende patentkraven, kännetecknat av att antalet segment är 2n, där n är ett positivt heltal.
5. Segmenteringsanordning för segmentering av ett inmatningsdatablock (IDB) för behandling med en blockkodare (TE), som kan behandla ·* 25 konsekutiva kodningsblock (CB), vars storlek har en övre gräns (LCB), som är mindre än inmatningsdatablockets (IDB) storlek, kännetecknat av att segmenteringsanordningen är anord-nad att utföra följande steg: - bestämma inmatningsdatablockets (IDB) längd innan nägot av 30 dess data leds tili blockkodaren (TE), - indela inmatningsdatablocket (IDB) i flera segment (S, ... SN), vilka alla är väsentligen lika länga sä att inget av segmenten överskrider den övre gränsen (LCB), och - leda varje segment (S,... SN) tili blockkodaren (TE). 35
