Abstract

The present invention concerns a draw roll 1 which is used for the forward feed of trees. This type of draw roll comprises a frame 2 and friction devices 4 arranged on the frame circumference 5 in order to strengthen the grip between draw roll and tree. In an arrangement according to the present invention, the friction devices 4 are connected mechanically to each other by attachment devices 8, 10, whereby the friction device in contact with the tree will guide the friction device following behind towards the tree at right angles. Such mechanical connection between the friction devices will to a great extent prevent damage to the tree occurring during harvesting. <IMAGE>
