Abstract
METODO PARA REFINAR UN BAÑO DE METAL FUNDIDO. COMPRENDE LAS OPERACIONES DE INTRODUCIR UN GAS DE REFINO, EN EL BAÑO DE METAL FUNDIDO, QUE CONTENGA SUSTANCIALMENTE UNA COMBINACION DE OXIGENO Y NITROGENO, HASTA QUE EL CARBONO DE DICHO BAÑO SE HAYA REDUCIDO A UN NIVEL ELEGIDO; Y DE INTRODUCIR A CONTINUACION UN GAS INERTE EN DICHO BAÑO FUNDIDO, DESDE UNA LANZA ADECUADA PARA DIRIGIR DICHO GAS INERTE SOBRE O DEBAJO DE DICHO BAÑO, CON EL FIN DE REDUCIR EL CONTENIDO DE NITROGENO EN EL MENCIONADO BAÑO, HASTA UNOS NIVELES DESEADOS. DURANTE LA INTRODUCCION DEL GAS INERTE PROCEDENTE DE LA LANZA, SE INTRODUCE ADICIONALMENTE GAS INERTE EN DICHO BAÑO, CON UN CAUDAL REDUCIDO, DESDE ABAJO DE LA SUPERFICIE DEL MISMO, SIENDO DICHO GAS INERTE ELEGIDO ENTRE ARGON, XENON, NEON, HELIO O MEZCLA DE LOS MISMOS. DE APLICACION EN LA PRODUCCION DE ACERO.
