Abstract
PROCEDIMIENTO PARA LA DEPURACION DEL MERCURIO CONTENIDO EN GASES, ESTANDO DICHOS GASES ACOMPAÑADOS DE DIOXIDO DE AZUFRE. CONSISTE EN PREPARAR UNA SOLUCION ACUOSA ACIDA DE UN TIOCIANATO, EN DONDE EL TIOCIANATO ACTUA COMO AGENTE ACOMPLEJANTE DEL MERCURIO Y EL PROPIO DIOXIDO DE AZUFRE DE LOS GASES, ACTUA COMO AGENTE OXIDANTE DEL MERCURIO. EL CONTACTO GAS-LIQUIDO SE REALIZA EN PRESENCIA DE UN AGENTE CATALIZADOR SOLIDO CONSISTENTE EN CARBON ACTIVO CON UNA SUPERFICIE ESPECIFICA DE AL MENOS 100 M/G, MANTENIDO EN SUSPENSION EN LA CITADA SOLUCION. SI EL CONTENIDO EN DIOXIDO DE AZUFRE DE LOS GASES ES DEFECTUOSO, ES NECESARIO AÑADIRLES LA CANTIDAD NECESARIA, MEDIANTE UN PROCEDIMIENTO DE CONTACTO DE GASES. DE APLICACION EN LA RECUPERACION DE MERCURIO A PARTIR DE GASES RESIDUALES QUE LO CONTIENEN.
