Abstract

This installation comprises a radiator 2, a first duct 3 connecting the outlet 4 of the inner circuit of the engine to the inlet 5 of the radiator 2, a second duct 6 connecting the outlet 7 of the radiator 2 to the inlet 8 of the inner circuit of the engine, a pump 9, a third duct 10 connected between the first and second ducts 3, 6 in parallel with the radiator 2, a valve 11 which controls the circulation of the liquid in the third circuit 10 and a heat-sensitive actuator 12 which controls the said valve 11 and which senses the temperature of a wall 13 adjacent to a combustion chamber 14 of the engine so as to maintain it substantially constant regardless of the speed of the engine.
