CONSISTE EN ADHERIR UNA CHAPA DE MADERA QUE SE HA HUMEDECIDO PREVIAMENTE HASTA EL PUNTO DE SATURACION, MUY DELGADA, Y PREFERIBLEMENTE CON UN ESPESOR DE 0.2 A 0.3 MM A UNA SUPERFICIE DE LAMINA DE SOPORTE PREVIAMENTE PROVISTA DE PEGAMENTO, DESPUES DE LO CUAL SE PEGAN ENTRE SI Y SE SECAN, UTILIZANDO PRENSADO EN CALIENTE, DE FORMA QUE EL AMORTIGUADOR DE HUMEDAD CONSEGUIDO MEDIANTE LA COMPRESION Y EL CALOR IMPIDA QUE EL PEGAMENTO PENETRE HASTA LA SUPERFICIE DELANTERA DE LA CHAPA DE MADERA. EL CONTENIDO DE HUMEDAD DE ESTA CHAPA ES DEL MISMO ORDEN QUE EL DE UN ARBOL VIVO. LA PLACA SOPORTE PUEDE SER DE MATERIALES DIVERSOS. LA OPERACION DE PRENSADO SE LLEVA A CABO CON UNA PRENSA PLANA HERMETICAMENTE CERRADA, PARA QUE EL VAPOR DE AGUA NO SE DESPRENDA DE LAS SUPERFICIES DURANTE LA OPERACION DE PRENSADO EN CALIENTE.
