SE LLEVA A CABO POR REACCION DE 2-CICLOHEXIL-4-METIL-6-CLOROPIRIDINA CON AMONIACO ANHIDRO; A PRESION ELEVADA; OBTENIENDOSE 2-CICLOHEXIL-4-METIL-6-AMINOPIRIDINA; QUE POR TRATAMIENTO CON ACIDO PERACETICO EN ACIDO ACETICO COMO DISOLVENTE SE PRODUCE LA OXIDACION DEL NITROGENO PIRIDINICO. POSTERIORMENTE Y PREVIA NEUTRALIZACION DEL ACIDO, MEDIANTE BICARBONATO SODICO, EN MEDIO ACUOSO SE EXTRAE EL PRODUCTO OBTENIDO. SE CONCENTRA A SEQUEDAD EL PRODUCTO;, Y SE TRATA CON NITRITO SODICO PARA DIAZOTACION, EN SOLUCION ACUOSA A BAJA TEMPERATURA. EL MEDIO DE REACCION SE VIERTE SOBRE UNA MEZCLA DE ACIDO SULFURICO-AGUA CALIENTE, OBTENIENDOSE 6-CICLOHEXIL-1-HIDROXI-4-METIL-2(1)PIRIDONA, QUE PRECIPITA A PH NEUTRO. EL COMPUESTO RESULTANTE SE DISUELVE EN ETER SULFURICO, PARA DESHIDRATACION CON SULFATO SODICO ANHIDRO. POR ULTIMO SE SALIFICA CON ETANOLAMINA Y EL DISOLVENTE SE EVAPOR RESULTADO EL PRODUCTO DESEADO. DE UTILIZACION FAMACOLOGICA POR SU ACTIVIDAD ANTIFUNGICA, FRENTE A UN AMPLIO ESPECTRO DE DERMATOFITOS Y LEVADURAS.
