LA REACCION SE LLEVA A CABO EN AUSENCIA DE DISOLVENTE, EN PRESENCIA DE TRIETILAMINA, A LA TEMPERATURA DE REFLUJO DE LA MEZCLA DE REACCION DURANTE 16 HORAS. DE LA MEZCLA SE SEPARAN, POR DESTILACION A PRESION REDUCIDA, LOS REACTIVOS QUE QUEDAN SIN REACCIONAR Y EL RESIDUO OBTENIDO SE DILUYE CON ETER, SE LAVA CON DISOLUCION ACUOSA DE HIDROXIDO SODICO AL 10% Y A CONTINUACION CON ACIDO CLORHIDRICO 2N, Y SE DESHIDRATA CON SULFATO MAGNETICO ANHIDRO. ESTE COMPUESTO TIENE APLICACIONES PARA LA PREPARACION DE 6-FLUORO-4-CROMANONA QUE SE EMPLEA EN LA SINTESIS DE UN COMPUESTO APLICADO AL TRATAMIENTO DE LA DIABETES.
