Abstract

Continuous and automatic method for identifying, sorting and counting small particles comprises first mounting a series of samples on a continuously moving carrier and then recording the microscope image of each sample with a video camera. Each recorded image is divided up (into pixels) by a line grid and subjected to pattern recognition analysis. The results are treated statistically, converted to digital form and then delivered to the operator.
