Abstract

A paper ream packer is provided including, for initial feeding of a ream of paper, an air mattress table (2) provided in is upper surface with a plurality of valves (19) connected to source of air, such as a fan, and operable when contacted by a ream of paper to open and release jets of air under pressure against the undersurface of the ream of paper on the table (2) to facilitate handling of the ream, and an adjustable stop (3) provided on the air mattress table (2) to facilitate lateral pairing of the paper sheets in the ream.
