Abstract
The gas accumulator is comprised of a fixed wall (W) and of a fixed floor (B), while its top or ceiling may go up or down as a function of the gas volume. A bell sheet (S) forms a moving and gas-tight partition between the top and the fixed wall. In order to stabilize and center the top at each height, at least three vertical guides (10) distributed at the circumference are mounted between the periphery of the top and the periphery of the wall, under the bell sheet, but inside the accumulator. Each of those guides comprises a short guiding element (11) secured to the wall, a guiding rail (12), as well as a support (13) connected to the top. Those parts (11-13) may move with respect to each other and provide for the vertical guiding of the top. On the left hand side of the figure there is shown the lowest position of the top, when the accumulator is empty, and on the right hand side, the highest position when the accumulator is full.
