Abstract

A tubular probe for measuring liquid level comprises a scale formed of two insulating substrates of glass 11a, 11bor of enamelled sheet metal on which superimposed layers of conducting and insulating inks are deposited by silk-screen printing to form a resistor and a conducting path respectively. These two substrates are held one against the other, with the silk-screen printed faces towards the outside, and form an assembly of suitable shape for guiding a float which is provided with two slide contacts displaceable along this scale depending on the liquid level, in such a manner that the resistance between the contacts varies according to the liquid level. This assembly is placed inside a tube which is provided with calibrated orifice in its lower portion.
