Abstract

The clutch comprises a reaction plate (10) fixed to the engine drive shaft, a pressure plate (13) rotating with the reaction plate and a cover (14), all being able to be displaced axially by a spring disc (34) pivoting between the cover at a fulcrum (37) and a pressure plate fulcrum (38). The reaction plate is fixed to the drive shaft (11) by a single, central screw (46). The screw has a flat head (43) with a shoulder (45) which locates in a hole (49) in the reaction plate. The screw head has a hexagonal recess (51) for the spanner (53) which passes directly through the centre of the clutch assembly.
