Abstract

The lubricating system for a rotary spindle includes a sleeve fitting round the spindle, with an oil groove around it in the zone where it passes through a fixed sealing ring. This ring has a shoulder at each end, around which are fitted resilient sealing rings. Also mounted on the sleeve is a rotor forming a seal against the side of the fixed ring, incorporating a chamber communicating with the oil groove. - The rotor is held by a spring in contact with the side of the fixed ring. A second rotor is in contact with the other side of the fixed ring, with a further chamber communicating with the oil groove. A pumping system circulates fluid through the system of channels. (2/3)
