Abstract

The apparatus comprises a float tube 1, a float 2, a transmission mechanism 3, indicator means 4 and a box 5 in which the float rises or falls in response to the level of petrol in the tank in order to actuate the transmission mechanism so that it causes a needle of the indicator means to rotate, showing the precise amount of petrol stored in the tank.
