The process comprises reacting difluoroaniline with anisol in the presence of isoamyl nitrite at about 150 deg.C, and then extracting prod. with CO2 and alkaline carbonate at high pressure. To increase efficiency, solvents such as n-hexane, alcohol and methylene chloride are also applied, prior to final extraction. - The deriv. obtd. is 2-hydroxy-5 -(2',4'-difluorophenylbenzoic) acid in the form of crystalline white powder, having medicinal antiinflammation properties.
