CONSISTE EN LA FERMENTACION AEROBIA CONTINUA DE UNA FUENTE DE CARBONO ASIMILABLE POR UN ORGANISMO DEL GENERO XANTHOMONAS, A UNA TEMPERATURA ENTRE 25 C Y 35 C, EN UN MEDIO NUTRIENTE CONSTITUIDO POR UN HIDRATO DE CARBONO, UNA MEZCLA NATURAL Y COMPLEJA QUE CONTIENE NITROGENO Y SALES INORGANICAS SOLUBLES EN AGUA DE FOSFORO, MAGNESIO, CALCIO, POTASIO Y AZUFRE, DE MODO QUE LOS ELEMENTOS TRAZA ESTAN LIMITADOS A 0,1-10 PPM DE FE, 0,01-1 PPM DE MN Y ZN, 0,001-1 PPM DE CU Y CO Y 0,0005-1 PPM DE B, Y LA RELACION FE:MN VARIA ENTRE 40:1 Y 2:1.
