Abstract
A method of producing a coke is disclosed, in which the coking rate is controlled by regulating the bottom furnace gas feed. The control, allowing for the parameters, is made possible here by determining the parameters combined into function blocks, evaluating them and then using them as control data. In the first function block, the intended coking time and the specific charging data are here combined, from which the intended heat flux is then determined. In the second function block, the individual corrected heating temperatures are combined which are compared with an intended average and used for determining the proportionate heat flux. The third function block contains the coking state of the invididual ovens and the overall coking state of the complete battery, this being determined from the temperatures of the raw gases. In the fourth function block, the evaluation data of the preceding charges are detected which, together, give the partial heat flux of earlier charges. The fifth and sixth function blocks retain the actual heat flux, determined from the instantaneous bottom firing data, and the correction value for the heat flux which is determined by adding the intended/actual deviations.
