Abstract

The distribution feed is for thin components, particularly wooden slats, on a conveyor chain constructing packages. A storage container (1,5) accommodates a set number of components in a uniform stack(E) so that one end of one component is accessible from the bottom. This component end is deflected downwards and in the lengthwise direction by a vacuum (2) so that it can be gripped by an extractor (3), pulling it out at right angles to the conveyor chain, on which it is placed by a positioning jaw (4). It can comprise a box-type housing with an open bottom at which two freely-turning rollers are mounted, set back from the front wall.
